With Providence Park Apartments’ convenient location near downtown Columbia, Forest Acres, and The Village at Sandhill, it can be hard for our residents to choose where to eat their next meal! In our Providence Park Places to Be series, we try to help by suggesting some of our favorite spots. In this week’s edition, we’re talking about the delicious Blue Fin Restaurant!
Blue Fin is in Sandhills, just a 10-minute drive from your Providence Park Apartment. You’ll find great steaks and seafood dishes here, in addition to a killer happy hour during the week and an awesome brunch on Sundays.
The restaurant also has live music throughout the week and a wonderful wait staff. We love it for family outings, date nights, or girls’ night out!

With Earth Day this weekend, Providence Park wants to take a minute to remind you of some of the incredible green spaces near our apartments in Columbia. In addition to our own apartment community with its resort-style pool and green areas, we’re close to some of the best parks in Columbia!
One of our favorites is Sesquicentennial State Park! Just a 15-minute drive from Providence Park will get you to this beautiful state park where there’s something for everyone to do!
With trails for running, walking, or biking, you can get your exercise on land or rent a canoe or kayak to do some water workouts! Bring the kiddos and they’re sure to love the playgrounds, ponds with ducks and geese, and brand new splash pad.
The park is open from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Where will you be spending your Earth Day weekend?

If you have been thinking about adopting a cat or dog (and when you live in apartments as pet-friendly as Providence Park, why wouldn’t you!), St. Patrick’s Day could be a great time to bring an animal into your life. Continue reading
