Your Guide to Columbia Farmers Markets

Whether you’re looking for fresh ingredients or a new piece of artwork, the farmers market is the perfect spot to relax on the weekends near your home at Providence Park apartments. Choose from a vibrant selection of local produce, gather freshly picked flowers, or try some eclectic food truck bites. You can stock up on honey, baked goods and locally-produced snacks while you’re there, and it’s always worth the weekly trip to enjoy the sights and familiar faces.

City Roots and Soda City Farmers Market (http://sodacitysc.com/) are open on the weekends and they are only a short ride from your home at Providence Park!

The City Roots market is open on Thursdays from 4 to 7 p.m. year-round and features a selection of local products week-to-week: fresh, organic produce grown at City Roots’ farm, local seafood, pasture-raised beef, pork, lamb and poultry, free range eggs, artisan breads and baked goods, organic maize products, fresh milk and butter, cheese, honey and a selection of craft beer and wine. Different local food vendors will have food available for purchase, and farm vendors will have tastings and specials, all accompanied with live, acoustic music.

Soda City Farmers Market (http://sodacitysc.com/) is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Main Street and it’s only a short walk from your home at Providence Park apartments!
